Insider whisper — The last 4km is gravel — a regular sedan manages it carefully in dry weather; 4x4 preferred after rain. Stock up in Rusape or Juliasdale; the cottage kitchen is fully equipped but shops close early. Bring cash for the caretaker tip and roadside avocado sellers. Book Friday–Sunday for peak misty mornings. The fireplace wood is provided — ask for extra if nights look cold. Starlink works from the main lounge; bedroom signal is weaker.
